I prefer making my own widgets using the code provided by Twitter. From within your own twitter account, go to https://twitter.com/settings/widgets/new and customize for the username (can be anyone, not just yours), height, theme, link colors, etc. and click “create widget.” Copy that code and place it as “text” into a widget on your site where you would like the tweets to appear.
